Benjamin Waters is the sole principal in Waters Public Affairs, which opened its doors in 2011. Benjamin has over 15 years of experience in agriculture, business, energy, land conservation, water policy, health care, education, human services, and elections with the Colorado General Assembly. Benjamin has been registered lobbyist since 2007. Prior to lobbying, Benjamin worked as a legislative aide for two state representatives and filled leadership roles in a variety of political campaigns on the local, state, and federal levels. Benjamin has lobbied for a number of business and professional membership associations, including as government relations director for the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union from 2007 to 2010, which is a general farm organization representing 25,000 farm and ranch families in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico and on behalf of which Benjamin advocated for key legislation such as the 2007 Farm Bill and the 2010 Affordable Care Act. He currently represents several membership organizations and business entities with a track record of success with the Colorado Departments of Revenue, Regulatory Agencies, Public Health and Environment, Healthcare Policy and Financing, Education, Human Services, and Agriculture.
