If you’ve got a great idea, logo, business name, or even an invention, you need to protect it. The steps involved in filing for patents, trademarks or copyrights are covered in this presentation, along with additional resources that can help you safeguard your intellectual properties, such as having employees or vendors sign non-disclosure agreements. Small business owner’s invest a lot of time and energy in developing their business, products, brands, websites, etc., and protecting the intellectual property is a key component in protecting such investment. The members of the CO IP Inn of Court will address these issues and be available to answer your questions.
CO IP Inn of Court: the Colorado IP Inn is the thirteenth Inn in the country focused on intellectual property law and is part of Linn Inn Alliance, an organization of Inns focused on intellectual property law. The alliance has been spearheaded by Judge Richard Linn of the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. The Colorado IP Inn of Court has many objectives, including promoting the guiding principles of the American Inns of Court, focus on mentoring younger lawyers in intellectual property law, and promoting diversity within the intellectual property community of Colorado.
