The Executive Director must live within the region served by the SCFD. The Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) is the only cultural funding model in the nation that serves a region of seven counties. The organization is governed by a State Statute, approved by Colorado’s General Assembly, and has been renewed by voters’ multiple times
