Classic Film Series - "Casablanca" (1942)

Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), an American who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, Morocco, discovers his old flame Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) is in town with her husband, Victor László (Paul Henreid). László is a resistance leader from Czechoslovakia, and with Germans on his tail, Ilsa knows Rick can help them get out of the country — but will he? Winning the Academy Award for Outstanding Motion Picture, the cast is rounded out by Claude Rains, the loveable S. Z. Sakall, Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre. Max Steiner’s musical score soars, and Michael Curtiz won the award for best director. Curated and hosted by Elevations Credit Union’s own Community Development Manager, Jeffrey Kash, this series brings the classics to the big screen in the community room of Elevations’ offices at 1 Environmental Way in Broomfield, near Flatiron Crossing Mall.
